Children Caught With Alcohol At Middle School

An investigation is underway by Johnston County school officials after three children were reportedly caught with alcohol at their middle school.

The incident occurred Monday at the new Swift Creek Middle School on Norris Road outside of Clayton.

WTSB News has learned a 13 year-old juvenile reportedly brought a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey from home and then shared it with two other 13 year-old juveniles at the school.

Swift Creek Middle school administrators also notified law enforcement authorities about the incident.

As of Tuesday, officials have not said if the three 13 year-olds will face any type of disciplinary action or possible criminal charges in juvenile court.
