FOUR OAKS – Civil War artifacts were among several items stolen from a Four Oaks area home during a February 14 burglary.
A thief reportedly forced their way into a storage building in the 8000 block of Devil’s Racetrack Road stealing two Civil War bayonets, a Civil War cannonball, and antique Coca Cola sign. The items were valued at approximately $2,000.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office recovered evidence from the scene. The break-in remains under investigation.
