The Clayton Drivers License Office will be closed on Tuesday.
The NC Division of Motor Vehicles (NC DMV) says the Clayton driver license office at 1665 Old US70 Highway West, will be closed all day Tuesday, Dec. 1st for equipment installation.
The NC DMV is phasing in new equipment at offices across the state, including new cameras, printers, flatbed scanners and customer-facing monitors to support new programming for Next Generation driver license and ID card applications. The new equipment also includes the installation of credit and debit card machines at each desk.
The Clayton location will re-open on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd at 8:00 am. Other office locations in the area will provide service on Tuesday, including offices in Smithfield, Wendell, Wilson, and Raleigh.
