Clayton High Tennis Courts To Be Replaced

Clayton High School will have new tennis courts next year.  The current courts are cracking and the tennis team can no longer play on the courts.  The cracks were patched a few years ago but returned.

The school board awarded a $287,032.70 contract to RDU Paving of Raleigh, the low bidder, to replaced the courts.

Officials said the cracking was caused by failing subgrade.  The subgrade will be repaired before the new courts are installed in 2021.
