Clayton Homicide Suspect Captured In Georgia

CLAYTON – A suspect in the homicide of a Clayton woman was captured today (Sunday) in Georgia.

Clayton Police said Camille Nechelle Singleton, 31, was apprehended by the South Fulton Georgia Police Department. Singleton and her 2 year-old son, Dior, were together. Dior had been the focus of an Amber Alert.

Singleton was wanted for the murder of Inita Gaither. The 68 year-old victim was found slain inside her home at 322 Crawford Parkway on Thursday after police were called for a welfare check.

Police have not disclosed a motive. Clayton homicide investigators are on their way to Georgia this afternoon.
