Clayton Honors Veterans

Clayton-Honors-VeteransThe Town of Clayton paused during the monthly meeting on Nov. 2nd to recognize 22 town employees who are veterans.

Wednesday, November 11th is Veterans Day.  Mayor Jody McLeod read the names of all 22 employees. Town Councilman Art Holder is also a veteran.

Only four workers could attend the meeting to receive the recognition.

They include (from left)  Park Maintenance Supervisor Mike Beasley – five years of service in the Navy, tours in Guam, Guantanamo, Cuba and Japan; Town Councilman Art Holder – 6 years of service in the Army Reserves; Fire Equipment Operator Chris Carter – Marine Corporal with four years of service and two tours in Iraq; Accounting Technician Karen Maples – 3 years of service in the Army; and Meter Technician Carlos Terry – 4 years of service in the Air Force.
