The Clayton Lions Club is sponsoring the Chip for Children golf tournament that will be held on Saturday, October 7th at the Riverwood Golf Club.

The purpose of the tournament is to raise money to donate to the Comfort Zone Camp located in Wake Forest,.  The camp is for youth who have lost a close relative and helps them in the bereavement process.

The funds are used to help children who are experiencing grief to attend the camp.  While at the camp, they will learn coping skills and have access to support staff to help the grieving process.

After discussions with local businesses, the Clayton Lions Club contacted Zachary Kas and expressed their intentions to sponsor the event.

The tournament will begin at noon on October 7th with a shotgun start.  Players will compete in teams of four. The cost is $300 per team or $75 per individual.  Dinner will be served after the tournament and the lowest scoring team will receive the Chip for Children tournament trophy.
