CLAYTON – With the start of 2021, Clayton Parks and Recreation is renewing their efforts to engage the community.
For the first time since the pandemic began, Clayton Parks and Recreation will offer many popular fitness classes, including Tai Chi, Yoga and Barre Fusion, on a live virtual platform. Participants will be able to Zoom in to classes during the week of January 11.
Coffee & Conversation is a brand new monthly, online roundtable conversation that allows senior citizens the opportunity to get to know one another safely. JO-CO Clippers is an email club designed to help interested participants navigate the world of couponing.
Safe Sitters – a nationally recognized training program that teaches teens what they need to know to become effective babysitters – also is available to Clayton teens virtually through Parks and Recreation.
To celebrate National Puzzle Month, Parks and Rec is sponsoring Puzzle Palooza, a virtual puzzle-making challenge on Jan. 30. Gather a team of four, join in on Zoom and race to complete a 400-piece jigsaw puzzle in the shortest amount of time. Puzzles will be provided and is yours to keep. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place finishers.
