CLAYTON – Police are searching for a person who robbed a bank. On Friday, December 13 at 4:59pm, a white male walked into Wells Fargo on Executive Drive in Clayton and told employees he had a weapon, threatened to shoot everyone inside, and demanded money from each teller.
There were approximately six employees and two customers inside the bank.
The suspect pulled out a blue shopping tote bag from underneath his shirt and placed the money inside before walking out the front door towards the parking lot. The suspect was inside the bank less than 4 minutes.
Clayton Police searched a large area around the bank but could not locate the robbery suspect.
The individual was wearing a plaid flannel type shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes or boots, a navy baseball hat, gray neck gaiter covering the bottom portion of his face, and a latex glove on his left hand. He was carrying a small black tablet with a Bluetooth type earpiece in his right ear.
