Clayton Resident Linked To Nash County Homicide

CASTALIA – The Nash County Sheriff’s Office said Friday they have arrested two people in connection with the murder of Dominick Jermaine Parker.  On December 30, 2020, several fire departments and the Nash County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 8300 block of North NC 58 to a brush fire. First responders found a body later identified as Parker. It was determined the 27 year-old victim had been shot and killed.

After Parker was killed, the suspects allegedly tried to burn his body in an attempt to cover up the crime, which resulted in the brush fire that led to the initial discovery.

Elijah Devone Alston, 27, of James Road, Nashville, NC has been charged with first-degree murder and concealment/failure to report a death.  Alston is being held without bond at the Nash County Detention Center.

Cimone Altanese Johnson, 26, of Athletic Club Boulevard, Clayton, NC has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder, possession with intent to deliver heroin, and the sell or delivery of heroin.  Johnson is being held on a $500,000 bond at the Nash County Detention Center.
