Here we go again, and the excitement is building with every note! Marching band season is officially upon us, and we are “thread over heels” for it.
The Cleveland Arts Performing Ensemble (CAPE) at Cleveland High School in Johnston County, NC has been preparing and rehearsing for the 2023 season since the end of June. This work ethic is not new or different from previous years. CAPE band directors and staff strive to bring to life the most imaginative stories and the students are anxious to participate. The motto “Together we aspire, together we achieve” is not just words.
Every year the CAPE team tries to put together a better production than the previous year. This season’s show is titled “Stitch by Stitch” and incorporates several more drill sets (visual patterns) than any show before it. The design team has also challenged the students with innovative music, choreography, and equipment work. The show will continue to develop as the season progresses; it is being sewn together with love, one stitch at a time. You are invited to come see the performance at a competition near you!
Please visit the CAPE website for the schedule. You can also see them at Cleveland High School Ram’s home football games performing the halftime show.
Since 2010, the Cleveland High School (CvHS) Band program has provided an excellent music program and learning opportunity for its students and promotes the value of the performing arts by fostering relationships amongst students, parents, and members of the community.
The band is monetarily supported from fundraising through the Cleveland High School Band Parent Association (CvHS BPA), band parents, alumni and sponsors. It is recognized as a nonprofit organization under the IRS 501(c)(3) tax code. Learn more about Cleveland Arts Performance Ensembles and their entire band program by visiting clevelandhighband.org. Consider becoming part of our band family and together we can inspire, aspire, and achieve.
