A local high school band brought home the top prize after competing in Ohio last weekend.
The Cleveland High School Winds competed on April 16-17 in the Winter Guard International Winds World Championship in Dayton, Ohio. The band received a Gold Medal for World Champions in Open Scholastic Class.
The students put in a lot of hard work as they represented Cleveland High School and North Carolina in the World Class Competition.
Cleveland has also competed in Regional competitions in Orlando, Florida, and Richmond, VA and took first place for WGI and local Atlantic Indoor Association Champions, according to Jason Heard, Cleveland High School Director of Bands. Contributed photos
