Cleveland High Marching Band Has Outstanding Year

The 126 member Cleveland Arts Performance Ensemble had a remarkable performance at the 2019 Bands of America Virginia Regional Championship held at Liberty University.  In an intense field of 26 top bands from six states, the Cleveland Arts Performance Ensemble was the second place finalist.

They also had the following accolades: Outstanding General Effect Finals, Outstanding Music Performance Class AAA, and Second Place Class AAA. These are the highest Bands of America achievements since the Cleveland High School Marching Program was founded.

With their show entitled Wanted! The Story of Bonnie and Clyde the Cleveland Arts Performance Ensemble has ended the competition season as The Fuquay-Varina Festival of Bands Grand Champion, Middle Creek Mustang Classic Grand Champion,  a 5th place Tennessee Regional finalist, and a second place Virginia Regional finalist, finishing above all other competing North Carolina bands.The band is directed by Jason Heard and Steven Rainville and assisted by Bob Thomas, Jean Coulet du Gard, Jerry Thompson, and Jonathan Watts.

On Friday, November 8th, they will be honoring their Seniors during a home game against South Johnston.
