JOHNSTON COUNTY – Cleveland High School Baseball defeated West Johnston by a score of 13-to-3 to win the championship game of the 2023 Johnston County Easter Tournament.
Cleveland also defeat county rivals Smithfield-Selma High 14-4 in the first round and South Johnston 10-0 in the semifinals to advance to the championship game against West Johnston. All tournament games were played on Bruce Coats Field at South Johnston High School, April 1-4.
The Tournament Award Winners were: Zak Stear – Most Valuable Player (MVP), Brooks Moore – Defensive MVP, All Tournament Team – Cylis Locklear, Evan Slawinski, Ty Lee, and Jack Dalton.
