Cleveland High School Senior Kayla Smith has received the David M. Rubenstein Scholarship at Duke University.
The scholarship award is valued at over $250,000 and includes tuition, room and board, books, a laptop and one-on-one mentoring from Duke faculty.
The program also includes a fully-funded, six week summer academic experience on campus and one summer of financial support to supplement experiences related to internships or other professional opportunities.
Kayla plans to major in Business and English and minor in Spanish.
