SMITHFIELD – Police are investigating a break-in discovered by a Smithfield police officer while on routine patrol.
Around 11:31am Saturday, Dec. 7, an officer discovered broken glass at the front entrance to 230 N Equity Drive, and determined someone had forcibly entered the building.
Police searched the interior but did not locate anyone. Police said the building is currently vacant. It is unknown when the break-in occurred.
