Johnston County Commissioners have approved requests from two departments to surplus vehicles that are no longer operational or in use.
The board approved a request to surplus a 2000 Chevy four wheel drive truck with 205,963 miles. The truck does not run.
Johnston County Animal Services received approval to surplus a 1989 Ford E350 bus with 94,793 miles, a 2005 Chevy 1500 with 124,015 miles, and a 2013 Ford F150 4×4 with 215,930 miles. The cost to maintain the vehicles is no longer prohibitive.
The vehicles will be sold at the next public auction scheduled by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
