Johnston County Commissioners have agreed to spend $874,506 to purchase two pieces of equipment for the Johnston County Landfill.
The Department of Solid Waste was given approval to purchase a John Deere 6195R cab tractor for $156,938.
A separate bid was also awarded for the purchase of a new Bomag landfill compactor for $717,568.
Combined, the equipment will cost $874,506.
