Johnston County Commissioners have formally approved a request by five towns to appoint members to their Planning Boards.
Commissioners approved a request by the Town of Benson to appoint Sherry Lockamy of Benson and Joshua Hefner of Benson to the Benson Planning Board. Both terms will expire on Dec. 31, 2020.
Commissioners approved a request by the Town of Clayton to appoint James Lipscomb of Clayton to the Clayton Planning Board for a term expiring on Dec. 31, 2021.
The board approved a request by the Town of Pine Level to appoint Tammy Register of Pine Level to an appointment on the Pine Level Planning Board for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2021.
The board approved a request by the Town of Selma to appoint Larry Capps of Selma to a term on the Selma Planning Board expiring Nov. 1, 2021.
Commissioners also approved a request by the Town of Smithfield to appoint Mark Lane of Smithfield to the Smithfield Board of Adjustment and Planning Board representing the ETJ area for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2021.
All appointments were unanimously approved.
