Construction Site Thefts Likely Related

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating thefts from three new home construction sites.

The larcenies were discovered Wednesday on Kyndalllee Lane off Cornwallis Road near the US 70 Clayton Bypass.

Three homes on Kyndalllee Lane, all owned by Carroll Construction of Willow Spring, were entered and copper wiring was removed from the HVAC units in the attic area.

$200 worth of copper wiring was stolen from each home.

Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said the thefts are likely connected. Authorities believe they occurred between 6:00pm Tuesday and 7:00am Wednesday. Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact sheriff’s detectives at 919-989-5000.
