A Johnston County homeowner slept through a break-in Monday night where a thief stole only beer and wine from their refrigerator.
The break-in was reported between 11:00pm Monday and 5:00am Tuesday at a home on Weldon Drive near the intersection of Cleveland and Cornwallis Roads.
While the female homeowner was asleep, someone entered the enclosed back porch of her home and stole 18 Modelo beer and 2 bottles of Franzia wine from the refrigerator. They also caused about $100 in damage.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. There are no suspects in the case.
