Corinth Holders Class of 2016 Receives $7.4 Million In Scholarships

Many seniors were recognized on May 26th as North Carolina Academic Scholars, high honor graduates, and honor graduates along with roughly $7.4 million in scholarships. Ninety-five percent of the class of 2016 plans to attend a two to four year college or university next year.

Scholarships awarded at the Senior Awards Night include: US Naval Academy- Trent Tetterton, Corinth Holders High School Alumni Association Scholarship- Trent Tetterton, Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship- Pierce Rickman, North Carolina American Legion- Daniel Gore and Morgan Sanford, Johnston County Education Foundation- Mary Catherine Carter and Will Hall, Four Oaks Bank Scholarship- Jared Taylor, Corinth Holders High School PTSA Leadership Scholarship- Lauren Boyd and Tayah Hichue, Corinth Holders High School People Helping People Scholarship- Lydia Davis, 2016 Determination Scholarship- Brianna Bryant, Address Your Dreams Scholarship- Michael Mullen, Haley Pinkowski, and Ally Edwards, Clayton Mid-Day Rotary Michael F Smith Scholarship- Dillion Bolding, Amy Renfrow Scholarship- Dillon Bolding, Clayton Civitan Scholarship- Jordan Hadding, Alton Bridgers Scholarship- Lydia Davis, Farm Bureau of Johnston County- Ally Edwards, Archer Lodge Community Center Scholarship- Ally Edwards, Johnston County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta- Darryl Alexander Allen, Neuse Termite and Pest Control- Michael Mullen.

Seniors celebrated their accomplishments during the annual Senior Picnic after taking a group Cap and Gown Picture last Friday.

The Senior Baccalaureate Service will take place on this Sunday June 5th at 4:00 pm in the auditorium.

The fourth annual Commencement Ceremony will take place at the Corinth Holders High School Football Stadium on Friday, June 10th at 6:30 pm.

Seniors will be issued 10 tickets for stadium seating. Stadium seating will be available on the home and visitor sides. The gate to the football stadium will be open at 5:15pm and close promptly at 6:15pm. No holding/reserving seats will be allowed.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the school gymnasium. Seniors will be issued 3 tickets for the gym and 2 tickets will be issued for the auditorium.
