A Johnston County fire truck responding to a structure fire overturned this evening. The accident involved a fire tanker with the Corinth Holders Fire Department.
Around 8:00pm, the fire truck was responding mutual aid to a house fire in Wake County when the truck overturned on Highway 96 just north of Highway 231. Two Corinth Holders firefighters were transported to WakeMed in Raleigh with non-life threatening injuries.

Law enforcement has shut down Highway 96 near the accident scene. The roadway is expected to be reopened by 10:30pm.
The State Highway Patrol has responded to investigate the single vehicle crash.
