A total of nine EMS vehicles were declared as surplus property by Johnston County Commissioners at their April meeting.
Johnston County Emergency Services Director Kevin Hubbard said the vehicles are in poor condition – many have high miles and need major work or new engines – and are no longer in use by the EMS department. Commissioners agreed to surplus the vehicles and sell them at the next annual public auction to be scheduled by Sheriff Steve Bizzell later this year.
