Johnston County Commissioners have approved the purchase of a new bull dozer for use at the county landfill.
The new Caterpillar D6T LGP WH dozer will be purchased under a North Carolina state contract through Gregory Poole Equipment Company in Raleigh at a price of $426,158.
Rick Proctor, Director of County Solid Waste Services, said funding for the purchase is allocated in the current fiscal year budget.
