Johnston County Commissioners will be seeking loan and grant assistance from the state for improvements to three water districts.
The Johnston County Public Utilities Department wants to build a 500,000 gallon elevated water tank for the Archer Lodge Water District. Improvements to the McGee’s Crossroads Water District include 12 inch and 16 inch water lines along Highway 210. And for the Ingrams Water District near Four Oaks, a new 16 inch water main.
The county applied for the grant and loan assistance before an application deadline last week.
