HARNETT COUNTY – Harnett and Johnston County emergency crews responded to a serious two vehicle crash around 3:00pm Tuesday.
The collision was reported on Fairground Road not far from NC Highway 27.
A red passenger car and black pickup truck collided. The driver of the passenger car was pinned in the wreckage and had to be extricated.
Two people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. One victim was airlifted from the scene.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. No additional information has been released.
