KENLY – Two people were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries Thursday morning following a two car collision near Kenly. The crash was reported around 9:00am at the intersection of Hickory Crossroads Road and Hinnant-Edgerton Road.
The State Highway Patrol said a silver Chevy Camaro failed to yield and collided with a white Ford Taurus. The driver and passenger in the Ford were pinned inside their vehicle. The Kenly Fire Department extricated both occupants before they were transported to WakeMed by Johnston County EMS.
The driver of the Camaro was evaluated at the scene but declined transport to the hospital. Charges are pending.
