Several departments battled a three acre grass and brush fire Monday afternoon that endangered four structures. The 2:20pm fire was reported on Faith Church Road south of Four Oaks.
The Blackman’s Crossroads Fire Department was aided by the Four Oaks and Strickland Crossroads Fire Departments. Representatives from NC Forest Service and Johnston County Emergency Services Fire Marshals Division were also dispatched.
The fire was contained in approximately 25 minutes. There were no injuries or damage to the four residential structures.
No injuries or damage to the residential structures was reported.
