A home in Micro was damaged by flames Sunday afternoon.
Crews responded to the 300 block of East Main Street where they discovered a fire in the attic.
The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Micro, Bethany and Kenly Fire Departments responded. Johnston County EMS stood by at the scene.
