A Toy Drive is being held through this Friday to benefit Harbor, Inc. and the Salvation Army.
Cub Scouts from Den 5, Pack 77 of Smithfield are coordinating the Toy Drive as a service project to fulfill a need in their Community. Last year they were able to collect about 400 toys. They hope to surpass that amount this year.
You can help the Cub Scouts bring a smile to a child by donating a new toy or book at one of the following locations:
Carroll Pharmacy, Smithfield
Centenary United Methodist Church, Smithfield
Smithfield First Baptist Church
Lucas, Denning, & Ellerbe, Selma
The Diner, Smithfield
Salon 619, Smithfield
Modern Mechanical HVAC, Garner
Each Scout in Den 5 was responsible for wrapping a donation box and placing it at an area business to collect donations.
Pack 77 is a member of the Tuscarora Council. Den 5 of Pack 77 includes: Den Leader Greg Parr and scouts Will Denning, Jacob Lawhorn, Joshua Lemke, Ryan Murphy, and Brayden Parr.
The toys will be given to Harbor and the Salvation Army on Saturday, Dec. 9th to be distributed to needy boys and girls in our local area.
