Daughtry Elected To UNC Board Of Governors

Former NC House Representative Leo Daughtry of Smithfield was elected on Thursday to the UNC Board of Governors Thursday, following a nomination by Representatives Donna White of Clayton and Ted Davis of Wilmington.

Rep. Daughtry received an overwhelming majority vote from Republicans and Democrats, demonstrating the positive and collaborative work he did in his 26 years in the NC House and Senate.

“It was my honor to co-nominate Leo for this position, and I thank him for all he has done and will continue to do for North Carolina,” Representative White told WTSB News.
