SMITHFIELD – A daycare van and passenger car collided, Tuesday morning, on Highway 210, between Cleveland Road and Swift Creek Road.
According to the State Highway Patrol, two people in a passenger car was traveling westbound preparing to make a left turn into a private driveway when they were struck from behind by the daycare van.
According to an EMS supervisor, eight children in the van were transported to the hospital for evaluation of minor injuries. Two people in the car declined transport to the hospital.
Smithfield Fire and Johnston County EMS responded.
