Deputies Charge Four Oaks Man With Injury To Property

FOUR OAKS — A Four Oaks man has been charged after authorities say he damaged the front door of a local convenience store.

Jason David Wiggins, 53, was arrested Jan. 31 at approximately 6:30 p.m. at Barefoot’s Country Store, located at 3295 U.S. Highway 701 South, according to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at the business and alleged that Wiggins broke the glass front door to the store.

When deputies arrived, Wiggins was reportedly sitting outside the business. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Wiggins was transported to the Johnston County Detention Center, where a magistrate set his secured bond at $750.

Authorities estimated the cost to repair the damaged glass door at approximately $750.
