Deputies arrested a 27 year-old man during a traffic stop Sunday morning in Johnston County. A patrol deputy stopped a vehicle just after 10:00am on Highway 42 West at Technology Drive after spotting a vehicle with a shattered windshield that was impairing the driver’s view.
During the traffic stop, an odor of marijuana was reportedly coming from the interior of the vehicle. The driver, Eusebiu Ismael Reyes of Chapel Hill Street, Durham, denied have anything illegal inside the car. During a search marijuana, an undisclosed amount of cash, drug paraphernalia, ammunition and a cell phone was located and seized.
Reyes was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was held at the Johnston County Jail on a $25,000 secured bond.
