Deputies are investigating the theft of a dog stolen during a residential break-in.
While a homeowner was away from their residence on Landmark Road in the Willow Spring community Wednesday night, someone forced open a widow and stole the victim’s dog.
The 6 year-old cream-colored Peekapoo was stolen by the burglar suspect, according to Tammy Amaon, Public Information Officer, with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives are investigating the case but as of Monday, the stolen dog had still not been located.
