Authorities have little to go on in the thefts of two dogs from one Johnston County home.
Between 11:00pm Monday and 6:30pm Tuesday someone stole a white pit bull mix dog and a brown terrier from a home on Black Creek Road near Lassiter Road outside of Four Oaks.
The owner of the dog said there was evidence a chain used to keep the pit bull in the yard had been unhooked from the animal.
The dogs were valued at $500 each. The theft appears to be isolated.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
