Dr. Ben Williams was sworn in as Johnston County Public Schools Interim Superintendent on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The ceremony was held in the JCPS Evander Simpson Building board room, where Williams was joined by his family. Johnston County Clerk of Court Michelle Ball officiated the swearing in.
“It is an honor to serve Johnston County Public Schools as Interim Superintendent during this time of transition,” said Williams. “I believe in this school district, and I look forward to working with all of the students and staff to ensure a bright future.”
Williams has served Johnston County Public Schools as a teacher, assistant principal, principal at all school levels, and most recently as an area assistant superintendent. He brings a wealth of experience to the position during his 20 years of service to education. He is a Johnston County native, a graduate of North Johnston High School, a military veteran, a husband, and a father.
