CLAYTON – A Clayton-area resident escaped injury during a drive-by shooting. The incident happened January 14 around 12:26am on Medlin Road.
An unknown person reportedly drove by the victim’s home and opened fire striking the residence. At least two bullet holes pierced the exterior wall and entered the home.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting. Investigators said the drive by shooting does not appear to be a random incident.
