Benson Police are asking for assistance identifying a suspect who attempted to rob the Burger King Sunday afternoon.
Around 1:35pm, a black male operating a pickup truck pulled up to the drive thru window, displayed a firearm and demanded money. The employee closed the window and notified the manager. The suspect then fled.
Captain Greg Percy said no theft took place and no shots were fired.
Police have released surveillance video of the vehicle. The vehicle is a white 1999 to 2003 single cab Chevy LS model S-10 pickup with black body side molding and 5 spoke rims. The vehicle may have a license tag displayed behind the passenger side headrest.
