A chain-reaction rear-end accident blocked traffic on Amelia Church Road right at rush hour Tuesday afternoon in Clayton.
A few minutes after 5:00pm, 20-year-old Elijah Olivo of Clayton failed to slow down near the intersection of NC 42 and Amelia Church Road.
He rear-ended the car in front of him, and that car, with 4 people inside, hit the car in front of it. That 3rd car was then pushed into a 4th car, also carrying 4 people.
No one was injured or taken to the hospital.
Olivo’s car had to be towed. The other cars suffered minor or no damage.
