PRINCETON – One person was killed in a fiery crash Wednesday morning in eastern Johnston County. The single vehicle collision was reported just before 4:00am on Progressive Church Road.
A Dodge Caravan was pulling a trailer loaded with a four wheeler when it ran off the roadway and collided with a tree. The van burst into flames.
The Princeton Fire Department responded and quickly brought the fire under control. The unidentified driver, the only occupant, died at the scene.
The State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the fatal accident. The name of the victim has not been released pending identification at the NC Medical Examiner’s Office.
