Driver Injured In Accident

One person was injured in a single vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in the 1900 block of Highway 96 South of Four Oaks.

A passenger car was traveling northbound on Highway 96 when it ran off the roadway on the left, struck a mailbox and then a lamppost in the front yard of a home before coming to rest.

The State Highway Patrol, Four Oaks EMS and Four Oaks Fire Department responded.
