Driver Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash

FOUR OAKS — A driver was hospitalized Monday night after a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 301 South near Parkertown Road.

The collision occurred around 10:45 p.m. when a vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a ditch, and came to rest in the road.

The driver, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.

Four Oaks Fire Department, Johnston County EMS, and the State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
