One person was seriously injured when their truck ran off Brogden Road early-Sunday. The accident happened around 4:00 AM in the 2100 block of Brogden Road.
A Ford F150 pickup was traveling eastbound when it ran off the roadway, struck a driveway culvert then two trees before coming to rest near the front door of a home.
The impact was so violent, a battery was thrown from the wreckage and landed on top of a neighbor’s roof, according to fire officials. Tools and truck parts were scattered over a wide area, including the back axle from the truck which was knocked free from the vehicle.
Emergency workers had to extricate the driver from the cab of the truck before he was transported to Wake Medical Center. The NC Highway Patrol responded and is still investigating the single vehicle accident. Photos by
