SELMA – The State Highway Patrol has released the identify of a motorist who died in a single vehicle crash near Selma. The 11:04am Saturday crash occurred on Buffalo Road near Eason Drive, just south of Highway 70.
Troopers said 28 year-old Forrest Avery Terry of Fayetteville was traveling southbound on Buffalo Road when his red Kia Rio ran off the roadway in a curve. His vehicle collided with a tree. The impact was so violent, the engine was ejected from the vehicle.
Terry was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. Speed was a contributing factor.
