SAMPSON COUNTY – The State Highway Patrol has released the name of a driver killed in a single vehicle accident in Sampson County.
The collision was reported at 4:26pm Monday on Sivertsen Road, approximately seven miles from Autryville.
Troopers said a 2014 Hino welding supply work truck was traveling southbound when the vehicle ran off the roadway to the left, came back onto the highway out of control, then traveled off the roadway to the right and overturned.
The driver, Jackson David Parker, 25, of Fayetteville, died at the scene. There were no passengers.
The accident marked the tenth fatality on Sampson County roadways for the year.
