A McGee’s Crossroads area resident was arrested Wednesday night on impaired driving charges. Around 9:45pm a deputy was on patrol on Highway 210 and spotted an SUV weaving. The officer turned on his blue lights in an attempt to stop the vehicle but the driver continued on a short distance, reportedly turning into his own driveway and not stopping until he reached his carport.
Jose Antonio Rivera-Martinez, 31, of the 13000 block of Highway 210, Angier was charged with driving while impaired and driving on a revoked license. Rivera-Martinez registered 0.15 on the breathalyzer, nearly double the legal limit of 0.08.
He was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $2,500 bond.
