Dakota Thompson (far right) was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on Sunday. He also received the Good Citizenship Award from Lewis Rice III (left), Eagle Scout Coordinator for the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment.On Sunday, Dakota Thompson was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at Rains Crossroads OFWB Church in Kenly. He was also presented the Good Citizenship Award from Lewis W. Rice III, the Eagle Scout Coordinator for the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment #1236.
Dakota is a 2015 graduate of Princeton High School. He is the son of Keith and Lisa Thompson of Pikeville and a member of Boy Scout Troop 23 of Princeton, where he is also a member of the Order of the Arrow, the honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. Dakota has also received his God and Country Award as well as forty merit badges on his trail to Eagle Scout.
