A Cleveland High School senior received his Eagle Scout during a special ceremony on Sunday at Oakland Presbyterian Church in the Cleveland community.
Jason Dale Lassiter has been actively involved in Scouting since 2004 when he joined Pack 33 as a Tiger Cub.
In 2012 he was voted as “Mr. Mountain Man” while attending Camp Ontario in Virginia where he enjoyed the 18th century Appalachian experience so much that he attended the camp again the following year.
Jason will graduate high school with honors in June. Afterwards he plans to attend William Peace University to study Simulation and Game Design.
During his Eagle Scout Ceremony, Jason was presented the Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Junior Past Commandant Devell “Bull” Durham Jr. on behalf of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment #1236.
Jason is the son of Jimmy and Stacey Lassiter.
